He Came All the Way from Valdosta to Visit the Peavy Hilton

News Release (June 1, 2017)

Major David Harper of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 7:21 pm, Sergeant Bobby Boatwright stopped a vehicle on U.S. 90 East near Country Kitchen Road for committing a traffic violation.

The driver was identified as Orachun Phadungyan. While taking enforcement action, Sergeant Boatwright learned that Phadungyan had an active arrest warrant from the State of Georgia for violation of probation relating to previous drug charges.

Sergeant Boatwright placed Phadungyan under arrest for the warrant.

During inventory of the vehicle, Sergeant Boatwright located a black book bag in the trunk that belonged to Phadungyan. The book bag contained two plastic bags of marijuana, numerous other vacuum style plastic bags, a digital scale and scented dryer sheets. Phadungyan was transported to the Madison County Jail without incident.
